The 12 Days of A Christmas Story

A Christmas classic, it's a fun story and it's simple. It's just about a kid wanting to get this one specific gift for Christmas. But it's more than just that really, it's about this era and this family. When I first saw this movie I seriously thought it was a lot older than it was. Ever since I saw it, myself and my family watch it every year. Good thing shows a Christmas Day marathon of it every year.

The 12 Days of Scrooged

I personally think they story of a Christmas Carol is kind of corny. But the tale of old man Ebenezer Scrooge is indeed a classic and has been told many times over in many different ways. Like I said I'm not the biggest fan of A Christmas Carol but I truly endure Scrooged and we can all thank Bill Murray.

The 12 Days of Home Alone

On the 10th day of movies we bring you Home Alone. A classic film about a little boy (Macaulay Caulkin) being left at home by accident while his family goes on vacation for Christmas break. Sounds quite joyful. Not only does the kid have to survive being alone but burglars are breaking into houses on his block the same week.

The 12 Days of Batman Returns

Upon day 9 we bring a nice helping of Batman, Tim Burton Style. Now I know everyone loves the Nolan films (including myself) but I love Batman Returns, as well as Burton's first venture into comics 1989's Batman. If not for these movies we wouldn't have gotten the excellent Bruce Timm Batman: The Animated series. That show as well the X-Men animated series from the 90's got me into comics, so I must be thankful for it.

The 12 Days of Iron Man 3

Day 8 is upon us, which means today is the final part of our Shane Black 4-Pack, and we'd like to end his run with his most recent project, Marvel Studio's second largest grossing film...IRON MAN 3.  Enjoy!

Iron Man 3 is by far the best of the series, in my opinion.  The first time I watched it, I was a little turned off by the whole Mandarin twist, but in subsequent viewings, I have made some personal predictions as to why they went this route, and if right, makes all of it worthwhile.

The 12 Days of The Long Kiss Goodnight

Day 6 brings us part 2 of the Shane Black 4-Pack.  Another entertaining action film written by Mr. Black, The Long Kiss Goodnight is definitely one of those films you wouldn't expect to be a "Christmas movie".

The 12 Days of Lethal Weapon

Day 5 of our "12 Days" of movie reviews is also the beginning of the Shane Black 4-Pack.  Today we start with the very first film he wrote, the most quintessential cop film of the last 30 years...LETHAL WEAPON!

The 12 Days of The Star Wars Holiday Special

If you approach The Star Wars Holiday Special the way you might approach an episode of Tim and Eric: Awesome Show: Great Job! than you are in for a treat. There are some truly creepy and bizzare moments in this show. But, if you are serious person who does not have access to drugs or alcohol; than this is not the holiday special for you. You should watch The Christmas Shoes, instead.

Prepare to cry, maybe.
